The impact of having all routine disrupted is a challenge for all families but more so for families that include an individual on the spectrum. They will take their cue from those around them and the best thing we can do is present a calm and rational presence. We will update this page as information and resources become available, if you have a resource that you think will help other families please send to sloring@hmea.org.
The page is now organized into the broad categories below, each link will take you to resources.

As of December 14th, 2020, the first batch of COVID-19 vaccines have arrived in Massachusetts. The state has begun Phase 1 of its COVID-19 vaccination plan. Vaccines are currently being administered to the following groups:
- Clinical and non-clinical health care workers doing direct and COVID-facing care
- Employees and residents of long term care facilities, rest homes and assisted living facilities
- Police, fire and emergency medical services employees
- Congregate care settings
- Home-based health care workers
- Health care workers doing non-COVID-facing care (i.e, dentists, hospice professionals, blood donation workers)
The state anticipates that the general public will be able to receive the vaccine beginning in April 2021. We will update the individuals we support and their families as we receive more details. For more information, please visit the state of Massachusetts’ page on the COVID-19 vaccine.
