Traveling through the world of autism can be a uniquely challenging and rewarding journey. Individuals with ASD need the support of their teachers, doctors, and employers in order to succeed. At Autism Resource Center, we can help you understand what autism is and how you can support individuals with ASD.
Understanding Autism for All
Staff from the center and trained parents are available to speak with regular education classes to heighten their awareness of what the Autism Spectrum is and how peers can help. Professionals from the Autism Resource Center are available to speak with teams of teachers about the Autism Spectrum. A parent, teacher or administrator may initiate the request. Email the center for more information.
Workshops
Professionals are welcome to attend any of our educational programs. Stay tuned for upcoming programs.
Volunteer Program
Volunteers are a critical part of our community, and we rely on them to sustain our mission and help us maintain our programs and services. We welcome volunteers of all ages, whether you’re a student in need of community service hours, or a business owner interested in opportunities for your employees. We provide a wide variety of opportunities based on your schedule and interests. Click for more information.
College Internships
Throughout the year, we offer college students the opportunity to intern with our staff in a truly supportive environment. Many of our interns are able to work directly with the children we support and develop a greater understanding of autism. Students may also choose to work on other projects in development and communications. While these internships do not involve working hands-on with our children, students will gain knowledge of how to promote awareness about autism and effectively fundraise for our community. Check out a list of current offerings here.
