  • Due to capacity at each location, a limited number of spots are available for each class.
  • Participants must be a registered member of the Center and live in the Central Massachusetts area.
  • The Center is working to expand our adaptive swimming lessons to encompass all age groups. We will share specific age requirements as we schedule more lessons.
  • An adult parent and/or caregiver is required to be in the water with their child/supported individual at all times.
  • Parents and/or caregivers must attend a home safety workshop prior to the first swimming lesson. The Center will present workshops through Zoom.

Participants will learn basic swimming skills, including floating, kicking, and breathing in the water. They’ll also have the opportunity to develop skills in advocacy and reducing anxiety.

The Center has compiled social stories to help explain how our lessons work to participants. Click on a button below to download the social story for a specific location.
